The heads of the congressional intelligence committees said yesterday an alleged plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to Iran should be taken very seriously, with the caveat that it could be the United States and Iran on a collision course "being."

Pushing the issue of whether the act was a serious effort by senior Iranian officials agree, said the House of Representatives, Mike Rogers, president of intelligence, amateur, just because the U.S. seems to have succeeded in this is Cruz so early in the planning stage.

"We are very happy," Rogers told ABC's "This Week." "We could see that we have received from the United States government to see this place from the beginning."

Rogers and the Senate Intelligence Committee, Dianne Feinstein, said the president, the U.S. must respond aggressively, but not enough to call for military action against Iran, but the most severe punishment for the growth of the economy.

Feinstein said he was skeptical when told of the alleged conspiracy in early September, but now believes "it is very real."

The U.S. authorities said Tuesday that he had broken a plot to kill two men in connection with the security authorities of Iran to Saudi Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir in Washington. One suspect was arrested last month and the other is large.

President Barack Obama said Thursday that Iran - they face the toughest possible penalties and the United States has all the options on the table - and against Western governments over its nuclear program.

"Our country should not try to go to war," Feinstein told "Fox News Sunday" program. "We must try to stop bad behavior before the war."
