Apple announced that the iPhone 4S will be available in both black and white versions starting October 14 in the U.S. and a handful of other countries. iPhone 4S plus iOS 5 plus iCloud is a breakthrough combination that makes the iPhone 4S the best iPhone ever,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “While our competitors try to imitate iPhone with a checklist of features, only iPhone can deliver these breakthrough innovations that work seamlessly together.”
iOS 5 will be released
on October 12. It will be a free update and will be compatible with the iPhone
4, iPhone 3GS, iPad and iPad 2, and the 3rd and 4th-generation iPod touches.
