The Case of Danielle Chiesi

Also taken in the case of Danielle Chiesi, the former beauty queen has been sentenced stockbroker, two and a half years in prison for his role in the largest case of insider trading for decades. She pleaded guilty in three cases, conspiracy to commit securities fraud, the committing of an insider trading scheme.

Chiesi, 45, was the confidant of the late billionaire hedge fund Raj Rajaratnam, the founder of hedge fund Galleon.

Alan Kaufman, his lawyer argued that Chiesi, said she was the victim of "toxic" sex with Mark Kurland, his former boss and lover New Castle Partners dealer.

Chiesi was the 10th Person to be sentenced to receive an insider investigation, the 46 guilty pleas and convictions.

The investigation has taken many prominent people in the valley. Among them were Anil Kumar, the Saratoga, a leader of McKinsey & Co., who gave a tip Rajaratnam on Advanced Micro Devices' acquisition, Rajiv Goel, Los Altos, an officer of Intel, the advance word courtesy Intel earnings and employment broadband from Clearwire and Ali Harari, San Jose, Atheros Communications officer who was accused of confidential information. Richard Choo-Beng Lee and Ali Far, who ran the hedge fund short Spherix in San Jose.
