Achieving Students in US

Millions of dollars are spent in our country, to help reach the heights of low-performing students in public schools. And that's good. But what we tell our students' performance? How many programs and the amount of effort that we as a state, the FCAT students that their past is the past? In our country, the amount of time spent by a typical classroom teacher to meet the needs of students of the best performers?
Not so. Less than 25 percent of teachers surveyed (Fordham Report, 2008) reported that achieve high performance, students are their top priority. This means that most of the academic support for poor performance, the students, the majority of school time is given. The problem with this approach is that the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) --- note the organization, the school system is one of the industrialized countries --- not even a list of the top ten in the U.S. . For several years, the United States from a disappointing 2:17 pm Location honeycomb.
More surprising news? The two pieces Fordham report also showed that the United States produces more high-achieving students than any other OECD country, more than France, Germany and the UK together. He also explained that there are more high-performance black students in the United States as high-achieving students in Finland (Finland has always been among the top three in the Plaza of the OECD report).
Then, in our efforts to reach scores of students in height, can not help but wonder if the resources are not distributed uniformly to all students regardless of their academic achievements.
Yes, we have advanced and honors courses, but they are very strict and demanding? Less than 50 percent of teachers surveyed said yes. Teachers are trained to understand the needs of the direction of talented students? 67 percent did not report.
The No Child Left Behind was designed primarily to set high standards and measurable goals to improve individual outcomes of education in our country would do. The rules were to be put in every state and in Florida has developed the FCAT in the process of measuring the liability. The pressure, however, to pull the performance levels of students at the end of the shoot was. Teaching strategies have been introduced to ensure that these students at level 3, the transfer point is reached. Many tax dollars spent on these efforts.
